The featured speaker this month is Colleen Robbs, Coordinator, Supplier Diversity & Outreach Program for Broward County Public Schools.

Colleen is the Coordinator for the Office of Supplier Diversity Outreach Program (SDOP), Procurement and Warehousing Services Department for the School Board of Broward County, Florida (SBBC). Colleen oversees the certification of Small/Minority/Women Business Enterprises (S/M/WBE), community outreach, goal setting, bid evaluation, contract compliance, and reporting. Ms. Robbs focus is to increase availability, build capacity, and grow contract participation by S/M/WBEs in SBBC's procurement and contracting. Through sustainable community outreach and business partnerships, Ms. Robbs seeks to build awareness of the contracting opportunities that are available to the business local community.  

No stranger to supplier diversity programs in South Florida, Ms. Robbs has more than twenty years of experience in economic development, small business enterprise financing, Small/Minority/Women Business Enterprise Program Administration, and performance management. Ms. Robbs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Clark Atlanta University and a Master of Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and the Florida Association of Minority Business Enterprise Officials.
