Please join NAWIC Miami Chapter 41's monthly general membership meeting, where you will have an opportunity to network with female professionals within the construction industry. Join us for a presentation from Geraldine Grimes of Grimes Consulting and see how they can help your business succeed!
"Grimes Consulting was founded last year when we saw a need for deeper involvement in local communities to bring together small businesses as well as potential employees to large scale construction projects. We had seen many efforts put forth but felt like we could do more. Cindy Leal and I, both involved with Miami Worldcenter since 2014, decided to form the company and were fortunate enough to land our first project almost immediately. To date, we have been the exclusive compliance team for Paramount, Caoba Apartments and the parking/amenity deck as well as Citizen M Hotel for Miami Worldcenter, projects totaling nearly $1B.
Both Cindy and I were Montessori teachers for many years and actually met in the classroom in Homestead where we taught together for several years before jumping ship into the construction industry. We came into the industry in administrative roles but were quickly handed the responsibility of Diversity and Compliance and grew our team to a total of 5. As the projects we worked on started to complete and COVID-19 loomed on the horizon, it was daunting, but we felt the time was right to start our own company."
